Even though I was physically and emotionally drained from the $10K PLH (see Report #3), the $10K HORSE was one of the events on my schedule with a big circle on it and I wasn’t going to miss it. I played the inaugural $50K HORSE in 2006 and got fairly deep: With four tables left, I was sitting right across from Chip Reese with about an equal stack. Then he went on a huge rush -- and I went on the anti-rush. But I hadn’t played a major HORSE event since. This year’s event got a good turnout and the tables were surprisingly live, as a lot of the kids want to play the mixed games, but are still a bit behind the curve. Unfortunately, I never really got off the ground. I made it to Day 2 on Friday, but went out shortly after the dinner break.
